THIS MONTH'S FEATURED PAINTING
One of  200 paintings chosen by Juried Competition of New York for the American Art Collector Book published in 2011.

"Home Before Dark is a watercolor painting with two images straddling the page as does my heart which now straddles the two countries I call 'home.' Two women in a donkey cart with mismatched tires is typical of the South Africa where I was born and raised.

I needed to find a country scene in America to complete the painting. The stone cottage and stormy sky is the perfect fit for midwest America thus, I have connected the dots in the painting and in my heart."

The original painting is sold but there are four giclee prints embellished by the artist. Each one will be sold with a copy of the American Art Collector Book for 2011.
